Line component glossary

Every complete packaging line is built from these standard components. The configurator picks the right size and tier for your product.

Bagger (VFFS or Premade Pouch)

Forms and seals the bag — either from flat film (VFFS) or pre-made pouches.

Product feed (elevator / hopper)

Z-bucket elevator, auger, or vibrating feed table — lifts product from a bulk hopper into the filler.

Filler (multihead / auger / piston / cup)

Doses the product into the bag. Multihead for granules, auger for powder, piston for liquid, cup for free-flowing.

Metal detector

Inline inspection for ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless contaminants. Required for food and pharma compliance.

Checkweigher

In-motion weighing — verifies each bag is within tolerance, auto-rejects under/overweight.

Date coder (inkjet / laser)

Prints batch number, expiry, and production date on each bag.

End-of-line (cartoner, case packer, palletizer)

Optional automation for packing finished bags into cartons, cases, and onto pallets.

Nitrogen flush / gas flush

Replaces oxygen inside the bag with nitrogen or CO₂ — extends shelf life for coffee, snacks, dairy.
